Intuition checklist

To help you decide if our "intuition consultancy" is a service you will need, we have created the following intuition checklist.

The checklist helps encourage us to think around the subject; apply such thinking-around to our own work and life experiences; and come to self-informing and self-empowering conclusions about:

  • whether we already use intuition in our work and lives;
  • whether we actually need to share our intuitive insights more efficiently;
  • whether by - in some way - capturing, evidencing and validating our intuitive, high-level insights, we can feel even more comfortable about thinking quickly and efficiently without thinking.

There are three checklists:

  1. In work.
  2. Proactively looking for work.
  3. Unable to look for work.

Scroll down for the checklist that most interests you.

1. In work checklist

Who?

1. First: who are you?

  • Senior executive
  • Manager
  • Colleague
  • Contractor/freelance
  • Other

How do you decide?

2. Whatever your role, do you take any mission-critical decisions, without necessarily knowing exactly how you knew how to?

How often?

3. If this happens, how often does this happen in a week?

Justifying and validating?

4. Do you ever need to justify these decisions?

5. If you do, who do you need to justify them to?

6. How do you justify them?

7. If you don’t need to justify them, would you feel more comfortable using such ways of thinking if you could justify them?

Advantages and disadvantages?

8. Do you think there are any advantages in continuing to take decisions in this way?

9. What might these advantages be?

10. Do you think there are any disadvantages?

11. What might they be?

So should we work together?

12. Do you think you could carry out your role without thinking intuitively?

13. If the answer is yes, you probably don’t need our services.

14. If the answer is no, we could almost certainly help you improve your intuition “showability”: make it, ultimately, possible for everyone in your organisation to share their high-level thinking with everyone else, whatever their respective fields and specialisms.

How would we help you?

15. This we could do by analysing how you might best be able to capture, evidence, and validate such processes of intuitive thinking: that is to say, prove to everyone everything you know, for sure.

Potential outcomes?

16. As we are solution agnostic, the analysis could just as easily lead to improvements which use your own existing manual procedures more effectively, as it could to others which delivered new human/machine ways of creatively efficient working.

Equally, we might recommend any combination or variation of the two.

2. Proactively looking for work checklist

Who?

1. First: who are you? (you may be more than one category)

  • Student
  • Wanting to study
  • Currently employed
  • Currently unemployed
  • Other

How do you decide?

2. Whatever your role, do you take any life-significant decisions, without necessarily knowing exactly how you knew how to?

How often?

12. Do you think you could continue to carry out roles without thinking intuitively?

13. If the answer is yes, you probably don’t need our services.

14. If the answer is no, we could almost certainly help you improve your intuition “showability”: make it, ultimately, possible for you to share you high-level thinking with everyone else, whatever their respective fields and specialisms.

How would we help you?

15. This we could do by analysing how you might best be able to capture, evidence, and validate such processes of intuitive thinking: that is to say, prove to everyone everything you know, for sure.

Potential outcomes?

16. As we are solution agnostic - this just means we don't have a preferred solution, we just want the best one for you - the analysis could just as easily lead to improvements which use your own existing manual procedures more effectively, as it could to others which delivered new human/machine ways of creatively efficient working.

Equally, we might recommend any combination or variation of the two.

3. Unable to look for work checklist

Who?

1. First: who are you? (you may be more than one category)

  • Person with support needs (our society tends to use the term "disabled", but we don't like this term)
  • Person with space-related problems (maybe you feel you are living in a space or with people who make it impossible for you to look for work)
  • Other

How do you decide?

2. Whatever your life, do you take any decisions, without necessarily knowing exactly how you knew how to?

How often?

12. Do you think you could continue to live your life without thinking intuitively?

13. If the answer is yes, you probably don’t need our services.

14. If the answer is no, we could almost certainly help you improve your intuition “showability”: make it, ultimately, possible for you to share your high-level thinking - the things you really know are true about what you do, the people you live with, the life you find yourself having to lead - with everyone else, whatever their respective fields and specialisms.

How would we help you?

15. This we could do by analysing how you might best be able to capture, evidence, and validate such processes of intuitive thinking: that is to say, prove to everyone everything you know, for sure.
